Another jaw-dropping view from Koloiki Ridge. This view shows the interior of Maunelei Gulch. If you look closely, you can see the old pump house at the bottom of the gulch. At one point, workers actually lived here in order to man the water pumps that serviced Lana'i City. There is an old mule trail that works it's way down these vertical cliffs. The trail was used to take supplies down to those living at the pump house. At this point, the trail is very dangerous to try and negotiate... plus you need permission from Castle & Cooke to actually enter this gulch. 6rigu Share                      Hawaii Time!
