My brother and I were hiking in Yosemite and decided to visit Glacier Point. There was a fire in the valley and a smokey haze hung in the air. I was doubtful that I could get any suitable photos, but I took a camera along anyway. As we explored the views at Glacier Point, I happened to notice this panoramic scene... with the smokey haze giving the backdrop (with Half Dome in the distance) a surreal effect. This shot has been one of my favorites of Yosemite Valley. It just goes to show... you never know when a unique image may present itself... even when "photo conditions" are not what you think they should be.
