1-North Trail Marker

If you hike up the gravel road just past the Koele Lodge, you will come to a small cemetery... turn to your right and you will see this sign a few yards away. This is where the Munro Trail actually starts. Once you pass this point, you will see very little signs of civilization for the next 10 miles! Be sure you have plenty of water, sunscreen, and warm (water proof) layers of clothing that you can put on or take off as needed. You will likely encounter a wide range of conditions as you traverse the trail. At the higher elevations, the weather can turn from scorching tropical sun... to cold mists, wind and rain in the blink of an eye. Be prepared for anything!
