Joe West Photography can handle all of your Lanai Wedding Photography needs. If you have a wedding planned in Hawaii, particularly on the islands of Lanai or Maui, I know what it takes to acquire the shots of your dreams. Living on the island of Lanai for 20 years... with over 17 years of commercial photography experience... including the honor of having my images used for a popular guide book of Lanai... assures you that I have the knowledge, technical skill, and state-of-the-art equipment to capture those once in a lifetime moments in your wedding ceremony. There are many "theories" on the best way to photograph a wedding. I firmly believe that the most treasured images will almost always come from the unposed, documentary style of photography... in other words, getting the shots of the actual ceremony, moment by moment, as it unfolds. In this way, the facial expressions, the tears and the laughter are all genuine, real... and priceless! There is nothing wrong with "posed" shots before and after the actual ceremony, but they are like "icing on the cake". The real emotional content of the wedding is found in the ceremony itself... and the real challenge is capturing these fleeting moments as they happen. If you will give me a general guidline of what you want... then just relax and let the ceremony flow while I capture those very special moments... I believe you will love the final images.
While many photographers prefer to retain ownership of your wedding images... and sell you prints from those images indefinintely... I prefer to just keep it simple. All of your digital images will be edited and adjusted for optimum image quality, archived on a CD or DVD, and turned over to you to do with as you please. I can also provide prints at any size... all the way up to 24" x 36" poster sizes! My on island print production services can, often, show you beautiful prints from your ceremony the very next day! One of my specialties is producing your wedding images as giclee prints on canvas for a classic presentation that has the look and feel of a fine art painting on canvas.
